The Break-Up Kit...

So, I figure, what the hell... I'll take some time to scan and stich another one of these babies together.

Ol' BatBoy slammin' it to the man... or to the rapist rather.

Funny how the script this is drawn from seems to indicate logically that this dude is a mugger, and yet I still feel like it wasn't the old lady's purse he was after... if you know what I mean.

You do know what I mean, don't you?

What I mean is that he was that he saw this old woman, and he was so excite... er, uh... nevermind. You can figure it out.

Hope you like.

(As a sidenote, I struggled like a mother to get that boot right... still doesn't work as well as I'd like to, but whatcha gonna do...)

When I Grow Up...

Commissioner Gordon and the Batman checking out a dead body and being all detective-like.

More pages to come. I just have to be ambitious enough to scan and stich these together.

Comics suck, by the way.

So why must I love them so.

(P.S. I don't want to work at Starbucks. Please God... don't let me work at Starbucks...)

That Voodoo That You Do...

So this is a logo I just finished for another student attending my school.

She's a film student, and she approached me a while back about designing and executing a logo for the production company she would be representing her films under... Lil' Witch, I believe is the name of the company.

I liked this logo in theory, but if this job has taught me anything it's that I need to learn to manuveur around Adobe Illustrator a hella lot better.

It's also told me that as a general rule, I loathe and detest vector-based drawing with every fiber of my being.

So yeah, it's not marvelous, but it's done...

With Her Smile...

Here's an assignment from one of my Senior Series courses on Underground Comix.

We were asked to create a cover for an imaginary fanzine.

While I vacillated between first commemorating Sex & the City, and then Apple Computers, in fanzine fashion I eventually ended up choosing a far older love... Mary Tyler Moore.

As you can see, love is all around... and Mary's in her under-roos. She looked a lot less vixen (and just plain cute) WITHOUT the come-fuck-me boots paired with the panties... unfortunately I ran out of space for boots to be included, and the ballet flats I originally had her wearing just would not make sense with her winter coat and ever-iconic Tossing Hat.

So the boots were made permanent fixtures on the Mary-Doll. So now Mary's a Sex Vulture.

My apologies. ;)

Well, I've got a ton of stuff to get back to, but I wanted to include the post...

PS - Is it really awful that I sorta-kinda wanna actually ink, color, and print the Mary-Doll so I can see all the outfits in action?

I sense a project in my future... ;)

PPS - Oops, forgot the best part... this was one of the underground comix we discussed the same day I turned in my assignment... go figure, right?

How's that for irony.

Into Darkness...

Here's a few panels I finished up the other day.

I'll post whole pages in a few days (fingers crossed).

P.S. My internet service is shit. Don't know when it's coming back.

She's A Marvel...

So, I'm actually pretty proud of today's post.

See, I had this pencil sketch of a battle-weary Marvel Girl (aka Jean Grey) that I had drawn near the end of last summer. Last night i decided to ante up, ink it, and then attempt to color it in Photoshop.

The short of it, is that this is the inaugural piece in terms of computer coloring my own work.

I mean, I've fooled around on my tablet... doodled in PS and what not... but this is the first time I've taken a comic-based work of mine and colored it on the computer.

It's nothing special if you're talking quality, but I'm pretty damn proud of it.

There's the color... and for minuscule, meaningless kicks I threw in a grayscale version.

Also, check out my friend Chrissy's awesome web-strip, Exploding Life... funny as hell. ;)

Well, that's it then... Peace.
